Commercial Card Training

The Division of Administration and Finance has enhanced the university’s commercial card program to create more flexibility.  Beginning in July, cardholders will have the ability to purchase items that have traditionally been prohibited – such as advertising for position postings, vehicle rentals, airfare, and lodging.
This in-person training session is designed to help cardholders, approving managers, proxies, and business managers become more familiar with the new program, its expanded purchasing capabilities, and its streamlined reporting methods. Electronic Requisitions - Requesters
Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
The current Excel paper process for entering purchase requisitions is changing to an electronic platform.  You have been identified as someone who enters requisitions for your department/division.  This training session will show you how to enter requisitions, add supporting documentation, and process change orders. This training is required to gain access to the MyNIU Financials system.  Access to the system will be granted after the training has been completed.

With the process for purchase requisitions moving to an electronic platform, you will need to approve purchase requisitions in the MyNIU Financials system.  In this training you will gain understanding on how to look up details of the requisition, review comments, and process the approval.  This training is highly recommended, but not required.
