Maintaining Your Website
Monday, June 5, 2017 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
This workshop is designed for individuals who maintain their university websites. Training will include a discussion of NIU Web Standards, the new Cascade CMS (8) interface, and an in-class exercise.

If you are new to Cascade, please take a moment to test that your access is working: Go to https://cms.niu.edu (bookmark this page!), log in using your regular NIU User ID (please use a lower case "a" for aXXXXXX ID) and Password, and you should be able to log in. You can also check the "Sites" menu in the upper left hand corner of the interface once you've logged in and confirm that you have "cascade-training" listed as one of the sites you have access to. If you are an existing cascade user, you may find your department/office site listed here as well. Feel free to explore, but please do not make any edits to any pages or files at this time. We will cover the user interface at some length during our training.

Our new users may need to wait an hour or so after receipt of this notification for the system to update with your User information. If you are unable to successfully log in to Cascade, please contact Brian Walk (bwalk@niu.edu) at your earliest convenience so we can resolve any issues before to come to the Training.
